Today woke up still feeling very tired after a sporadic sleep last night. Went to bed around 11pm and started to read a little but after about a page I couldn’t concentrate on what I was reading so just turned the light off and went to sleep. Around 1:30am I got up for a pee but when I got back to my room I wasn’t feeling well and decided to sit up for a bit before going back to bed. Finally went back to bed around 2:30am but then didn’t get to sleep till around 4am. Spent the rest of the time struggling, feeling uncomfortable and in pain. Finally, I got to sleep and then managed to stay asleep till around 7:30am then got up to go to work.
Have spent the day with considerable muscle aches and had to go lie down at lunchtime. I expect to finish a little early today and have another lie down.
I have two bags of washing I need to sort out that were washed yesterday but not hung up as I didn’t have the energy to do that. I will need to get them washed again now before hanging them up so this is a weekend task now.
Finished work today at 3:15pm as I just couldn’t concentrate on anything, spent a little time with my wife while she was on a break from work, but then got into bed again around 5pm.
I started watching some TV but had to stop about 15 mins into the programme as I started feeling stressed and overly fatigued so I put my “prop up” pillows to the side and went to sleep. I didn’t “want to” as I now try and eat my dinner around 7pm or earlier, but when I woke up at 7pm I was still too tired to make myself anything to eat. In the end I ordered a curry from a takeaway which arrived around 9pm and I ate far later than I wanted to. Eating too late often makes my sleep worse – and while I am still exhausted in the morning regardless of having slept “well” or not – its always worse if I haven’t slept. In the end I only managed to eat around half the curry anyway (in the past I might have had the whole curry AND a burger!). I didn’t feel like I had a “treat” as a takeaway should be – just something to eat I didn’t have to make myself.
While eating I watched some TV in bed and then still feeling exhausted but wanting to sit up for a while before going to sleep to give my food a chance to settle properly, I have come back to the computer to update this post.
How was my day today?
