Today I worked on this new website and code over the posts from the old diabetes and mecfs. It’s taken a while to get this as it want it, but please with the result now.

I woke up not being too had and started work around 7.30am but could not concentrate on anything. Every time I started to do something I lost the ability to carry on.

Ok so here is a great example….. Is just after midnight now and making this entry and I am suddenly of of energy…. I can’t finish making this post is that bad. I will pick this up in the morning I just hope I remember enough of the day…….

…… didnt take me long to fall asleep – but then woke up at least twice to use the bathroom and then woke up around 6am. Sitting here at 6:30am after having my Semaglutide and feeling “less than 100%”. I did consider going for a walk this morning, but due to the fact it took far too much energy just to get out of bed and go to the bathroom this morning, and I still feel like passing out I decided not to. I think I need to start with one day a week on Sunday mornings as that’s the day I have the most time before I need to do anything.

The last day then – as this is meant to be yesterday’s post I didn’t get much work done. After “getting going” from the long weekend I had an hour’s chat with my manager which was helpful.

I didn’t have any large meals but ate several times during the day.

  • Two slices of toast with spreadable blue cheese
  • 4 jalapeno and cheese potato skins
  • 2 salmon fillets in lemon and dill sauce
  • Small bowl of beef stew with mash and broccoli
  • Lamb Rogan Josh with Rice
  • Strawberries

General feeling through the day:

  • Feeling low level queasy all day (becoming the new norm after taking semaglutide)
  • Low level aches and pains – became too much once and was painful sitting so had to get into bed.
  • Constant brain fog today – probably 4/10 in severity. Managed to get on with things for work as they came up – but could not pro-actively work on anything as my brain would not engage.
  • Had longer lunch than usual with the idea of getting into bed – but then got distracted working on this site and lost track of time so never did get into bed. This may have made the rest of the day worse.
  • Managed to have a soak in the bath – which takes significant energy to run and get ready for. While the soak often helps a bit, sometimes the hot water seems to drain more of my energy and getting OUT the bath is a challenge. Yesterday I estimate that it was a net zero event – maybe a little more energy used than gained by the soak.
  • I DID work too much on this site and went to bed too late (I was playing a video game for a while but most of my time was spent on this).
  • I had two “crashes” during the day/night: Around 6pm but instead of getting to bed for a lay down, I moved around and walked downstairs and talked to Susan for a few moments. This did improve things for a short time. Later on (as already been said I crashed while writing this entry).

Lessons from the day:

  • Don’t ignore signs of an incoming crash – If I need to lay down, then lay down.
  • Probably didn’t need the curry last night – I wasn’t really hungry and it was “comfort food” as much as anything. Same goes for the potato skins.
  • Go to bed earlier
